The purpose of our project is to promote and educate and immerse all people in First Nation heritage and culture.

Our idea is to organise excursions and field trips for schools that encourage young people to learn more about First Nations people, culture and history. We came up with this idea because our school took us to an Oktoberfest excursion recently and we enjoyed learning all about German culture, and thought about how great it would be if something similar existed for First Nations culture and history.

When thinking of First Nation Heritage sites many people can only think of a few. Advertising more will not only spread awareness of culture but also make trips to these places more accessible as closer flights allow for cheaper travel fees. Our aim is that our excursions and field trips would make it easier for schools to take kids to First Nations Heritage sites around Australia.

We would also want a lesson once a week centred on Indigenous history which will help build a more open-minded society and inspire more interest in First Nation culture.

An all-in-one entertainment system to make train travel more appealing!

If we add satellite-based internet to trains, the internet will be working perfectly. So, communication online will be better while travelling on a train, than it is on a car. Onboard entertainment would also be a great idea, where you load a Wi-Fi network and an app on your phone. And you can enjoy movies, games, and TV shows for the length of your train.

My solution makes a new fun way for people to make friends and compete with one another. I have designed an entertainment app with movies, TV shows, a food ordering system, and games for others to compete with. With my concept of your future of travel; People can compete on the platform completely free to all passengers. Games that save your high scores and put them on a leaderboard for others to beat. This creates a fun motive for people to continue to use trains, and get their high score back.

By getting people to use trains, more tourism for more regional areas will rise, meaning that people might enjoy exploring more rural areas. The train will become a part of the destination, rather than just a way to travel from location to location.

Our solution is to create an annual photography competition with different categories and age divisions, with the hope to increase travel to regional and rural areas in Australia- simply by encouraging people of all ages to embrace their skills in photography.

There will be a small entry fee, but people will be able to learn more about, and explore more regional and rural areas around Australia. Once all entries have been submitted, a Festival of Photography would be held, to reward prizes and display the photographs received during the 9 months that the competition is open.

The photographs taken for the competition will act as self-directed advertising and will help promote the photography festival itself, but also the locations that the photos were taken in, supporting our aim to encourage people to travel to these rural areas.

Once you stop flying, a car will start driving

My solution is to have an app, so that when you first download the app it makes you chose which type of car you want to use when you travel.

Then when you get your plane ticket you put it onto this app.

Then when you are boarding the plane and you scan the ticket, which will send a message to the people in the other airport to put these keys in a pigeon-hole and tell them how much time they have to do this.

Then they send a message back to the app telling you what car you have, what parking bay it is in, the pigeon-hole number and the code to that lock.

Then when you get to the air-port you can just grab the keys and go..

The problem that I found, was that once you are at the airport in a different city, the hardest thing to do to leave the airport is to get a rental car.

Making travel at airports easier through Bluetooth connected app and visual aids.

We have created a mobile app people can scan their boarding pass with, and will connects to a tracker located on the handle bars of luggage trolleys (which also have a space to put your phone in to see) that will connect to sensors based around the airport. The sensors will find the location of the tracker, and then the tracker will send directions to the app to get to the gate it needs to get to.

Also, each terminal will be colour coded (e.g. terminal 1 is red) and that colour will be painted on to roads to that terminal, to help assist people get to the correct terminal.

Fresh And Wild Travel Packs. This is the name of our new, sustainable, eco-friendly, low price and of course classy, toiletry pack. This pack consists of a seven day toiletry section, dedicated to the organisation of soap bars, shampoo bars and conditioner bars; and on top of this, our pack includes a tin of toothpaste tablets as well as a complementary bamboo toothbrush.

Why a toiletry pack?

Fresh And Wild Travel Packs are 100% sustainable, including ONLY eco-friendly products. After extensive research on the impacts of ordinary hotel shampoo, conditioner and soap, we have found that many shampoos are full of significant amounts of harmful chemicals that many of us would have never heard of (and aren’t able to pronounce). These chemicals may not only be harmful to us, but will also harm the environment. When we wash our hair, the water in which drains from our shower or bath, ends up in our oceans, waterways, lakes, rivers ect. This water is contaminated with these chemicals found in our shampoo! This is extremely damaging to the environment. In addition to these chemicals, everyone is aware of the many shampoos sold in plastic bottles, these are more often than not, totally un-recyclable. These bottles have caused a tremendous amount of waste and done extensive damage to our planet. As well as shampoo, soap and conditioner bottles are dumped in our landfills and oceans, harming our atmosphere and even wildlife while they are taking thousands of years to fully decompose.

What have we done to solve this problem?

Fresh And Wilds seven day, organised pack, comes with a range of shampoo and conditioner bars, as well as soap for everyday of a travellers trip! Now, to minimise any water wastage at all, these shampoo and conditioner bars have been placed in days 2, 4 and 6 of our pack.

But...we cant exactly stop brushing our teeth, so what could you possibly do instead? Fresh And Wild has included a tin of toothpaste tablets into our travel packs, to help travellers be just that extra bit eco-friendly while traveling sustainably!

What is a toothpaste tablet?

Toothpaste tablets are simply a normal toothpaste formula just made without water. The tablets are pressed into a pill-like form instead of being squeezed into one of those harmful tubes! To use them, all you are required to do is pop a tablet into your mouth and chew! letting your saliva do the rest, a swig of water might also do the trick. This helps the tablet break down into paste and then all thats left to do is brush using a wet toothbrush. That's it! Included in this section of our pack is a sustainable bamboo toothbrush. Bamboo toothbrushes were made to reduce the waste and are actually anti-microbial! On top of this a bamboo-based toothbrush eliminates unnecessary waste while giving you the same quality of cleaning that a plastic brush would typically offer!
